Sporting Event Grants
Over the past three years, sporting events in Syracuse have yielded over $100 million in economic impact, with highlights including the Women's Bowling Congress Championships, BASS Tour Elite Series, and high school championships in track & field and lacrosse. The success of the major events typically begins at the grassroots level which is why the Syracuse Sports Corporation has announced a Small Grants Program targeted to new competitions which have the ability to generate community pride and economic impact.
The Syracuse Sports Corporation Small Grants Program provides up to $500 in funding to organizations developing or expanding events or competitions in the Greater Syracuse area. In addition to the community and fiscal benefits, criteria for funding encourages multiple day programs in which a representative portion of participants are from out-of-town.
Applications are considered on an ongoing basis, with requirements and contact information available by clicking here.
