Preble Visitor Information Center
The Preble Visitors Center is approximately 30 miles south of Syracuse. This wonderful facility offers plenty of parking, an outdoor picnic area, pet-friendly walking areas and overnight parking for trucks as well as recreational vehicles. Our visitor information center provides tourist information covering most corners of New York State and has recently be designated an official texting stop on the interstate. It is the last rest area heading north on Interstate Route 81 prior to arriving in Syracuse as well as the last visitors center before reaching the 1000 Islands region. Experiencing about 180,000 visitors annually, the Preble Visitors Center provides services to travelers continuing north as well as those heading east and west on the New York State Thruway. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and display racks are replenished daily.
