Members of the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce are helping the people, who literally help drive the Central New York economy.
All day long, members of the Visitors and Convention Bureau are rolling up their sleeves, and holding a car wash free of charge. But they're not offering this service to all motorists, just those who operate taxi cabs and limo's. Chamber officials say these are the people who serve as goodwill ambassadors in the region, and are also often the first people a visitor may see. they're also equipping the cabbies with publications from the chamber, promoting CNY.
