Green is a hot topic everywhere you look these days - but in Syracuse green is no longer an idea - but an actual way of working, living and thinking. The Greater Syracuse area has emerged as a hub for green related industries and sustainable energy development in the eyes of the world and is ready to embark upon a future of opportunity for a multiplicity of industries. As a result, a committee formed by the Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) prepared a set of action steps to prepare for this future and its potential. One of these steps is to collectively utilize the green business assets of Central New York.
Below is a list of businesses that participated in a survey from the Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau's Green Committee. This survey asked participants to review their practices and how they relate to the environment. In 2009, the Accepted Practices Exchange will be coming out with standards for hospitality businesses and the list below will be updated according to those standards.
